Traffic Update Regarding Construction for Center for Rehabilitation Education

Pedestrian and vehicular traffic patterns will be changed on Saturday, March 8, for the pouring of approximately 1,200 cubic yards of concrete for the foundation of The University of Scranton’s new $47.5 million center for rehabilitation education.

The Scranton Police Department approved a request to close vehicular traffic on the 600 block of Linden Street between Adams and Jefferson avenues from 4 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday. Southbound vehicular traffic on the 200 block of Jefferson Avenue will be reduced to one lane during this period.

Pedestrians will be able to access McGurrin Hall from a center crosswalk on the Elm Park United Methodist Church side of Jefferson Avenue. The sidewalk along the north side of Linden Street will remain open.

Traffic flaggers will be posted on Jefferson Avenue during this period.
